What is the Spring Storm at the SWAMP?

Standley Lake Boosters has created a Special Community Celebration and Fund Raising event. Thanks to the help of many volunteers and local businesses, the Spring Storm is evolving into one of the largest special events for Standley Lake High School and its Feeder Schools with more than 2,000 people in attendance expected. The Spring Storm will entertain and educate Residents of Westminster and the surrounding communities, and admission to the event is free. Please join us for a fun day of entertainment, arts and crafts, vendors, great food and a variety of activities the entire family.

What is a Golf Ball Drop?

The Golf Ball Drop is a unique part of the Spring Storm and an additional fundraising opportunity for the participating schools. Ball Droppers allows students to sell numbered golf balls to their families, friends, and anyone who would want to win a $1,000 Cash Prize. The numbered golf balls are bought online and then the day of the event are dropped at a target. If your numbered golf ball is closet to the target you win. It’s that easy. Until the day of the event, only online registration (credit cards) will be taken.

Spring Storm takes place in the parking lot and the outdoor athletic areas of:

Standley Lake High School 9300 West 104th Avenue, Westminster, CO 80021


Event parking will be established on the East side of the main school parking lot. The West end of the parking area will be relegated for the event.

Limited handicapped parking will be available nearest the schools front entrance and where normally posted in each parking lot. Please look for appropriate signage and have your tag or plate clearly marked.

Illegal parking in loading or tow-away zones will not be tolerated and subject to ticketing and/or towing.


Information Tent:

Event information, along with maps and a list of vendors, will be available at the information tent.

Lost and Found:

All items found at the Spring Storm will be returned to the information tent.

Lost Children:

Children who get separated from their parents will be taken to the information tent. Please ask any staff member for assistance. 

Restroom Facilities:

Temporary restroom facilities are located in the event area.

Volunteer Hospitality:

Community Volunteers are critical to the success of the Spring Storm. A hospitality tent will be available for all staff and volunteers to access during the event.
