This year's Jog in the Bog is adding a little color fun! 

Jog In The Bog is an annual community 5K run/walk fundraiser.  Beginning on Labor Day in 1999, it has been a tradition for all Standley Lake High School students. Starting and finishing on the SLHS track, the 5k route goes along 104th, to 106th, to Oak, to Countryside past the Countryside Rec Center, to Moore/W 104th Dr, along Ketner Lake, to Independence, to Holland Way, and back to the school. It is a fun, mostly-flat course that offers a tour of a few of the Standley Lake neighborhoods.

 

This year's race will include the addition of fun color powder stops. Participants will "get their color on" while running through various color stops where volunteers will splash color powder (environmentally friendly & nontoxic). The race will conclude on the football field with a DJ lead Color Blast party where all participants will celebrate with their own color powder packet. 

 

This community event is an easy way to financially support Gator students, their clubs, activities, sports teams and feeder schools with $15 of each registration fee going directly to the group of your choice. 

 

Additionally, $1 of every registration goes to PTSA's A-OK program (Acts of Kindness,) which provides schools supplies, personal care products, clothing, and food to SLHS's students in need.

Who can participate? Anyone, walk, jog, or run. Just represent you and your community!

What will it cost? 

    • Early Bird Entry Fee $30.00 before Monday, August 26th at midnight
    • Entry Fee will increase to $35.00 on Tuesday, August 27th
    • Entry Fee will increase to $40.00 on the Day of the Race (t-shirt not guaranteed)

What do I get?

  • All registered race participants will receive a commemorative JITB T-Shirt, goodie bag,  entry into prize raffle, color powder pouch for color blast party, and post-race snacks
  • Awards for divisional categories
  • Post-race Vendor Expo with DJ & Color Blast party

What do I register?

  • Download, print & complete the paper JITB Entry Form.
    Drop-off at SLHS Main Office or mail to: SLHS Boosters/JITB, 9300 W 104th Ave. Westminster, CO 80021 (Checks can be made payable to SLHS Boosters)

Early Packet Pick-up - Beat the Crowd

Race packets w/t-shirt can be picked up early on Saturday, August 31st from 3-5pm at Road Runner Westminster (10436 Town Center Dr, Westminster, CO 80021) As a bonus, save 20% store-wide during the event when you join the VIP family membership!

Race Volunteers Needed

Helpful parents have chipped in with their labor in various ways setting up, registering, being course officials, helping out with runners, announcing, organizing volunteers, the clean-up, and recycling.
